Who bought Kapilina Beach Homes? ›

According to the company, Blackstone agreed to to acquire the 1,400-plus unit residential community in June 2021 and the sale was recently completed. Kapilina Beach Homes encompasses 392 acres on the ocean in Ewa Beach, and includes apartments and single-family oceanfront residences, according to Blackstone.

Once primarily used as a military housing community, it is now privately operated.

In May 2024, it was announced that the Turtle Bay Resort had been acquired by Host Hotels & Resorts, Inc., the nation's largest lodging real estate investment trust. The property was rebranded as The Ritz-Carlton O'ahu, Turtle Bay on July 31, 2024.
