The college basketball season came to a close on Monday night in San Antonio, Texas. One of the Susquehanna Valley's own lived out what he only ever dreamed of. New Oxford native Thomas Haugh is officially a national champion. Haugh was a key part of the Florida Gators second half comeback against Houston, winning as time expired, 65-63. The celebrations ensued on the floor after the game. Our Hearst sister station in Orlando caught up with Haugh just moments after the confetti fell. "It's incredible. I don't think I'm ever going to do something this cool in my life. I don't know. We like to give fans a scare. We like to keep it interesting sometimes. This group is just super gritty, and when we go down in deficits like that, just stay together, and we know what our coaches are telling us, and just follow it," Haugh said.Haugh and the rest of the Gators returned to Gainesville earlier Tuesday to a lot of fanfare. Florida brings a championship trophy back to campus for the first time since 2007.
